Outsider Tart @ The Lyric

This is our first stop for food every time we are in London. Based just a few minutes walk from Hammersmith tube station.. David the owner is the nicest person. And the food is amazing. And the pies, cheesecakes. It is a must to try.

I always love a trip to Outsider Tart. A fantastic array of delicious treats for all occasions (as well as a daily indulgence). Walnut Hepburn is a favourite, as are the Goobers. Special occasions are always celebrated with whoopee pies. Try a stack of pancakes when you have the chance too. (Coffee is also a decent brew). Run by a great team who are always happy to take you through the range.

The blueberry pie will haunt my dreams—forever locked away across the giant ocean between the UK and the USA. The owner was fantastic, super personable, and even went out of his way to chat with us and share some great insights about London. We had the carrot cake, blueberry pie, and coconut cream pie—all were excellent and tasted authentically American. But that blueberry pie? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. Please move back to the USA and bring your pies with you! Thanks for being so awesome. P.S. If you’re ever willing to share the secret to that coconut whipped topping... I need to know how you made it!

We went to Outsider Tart today just as it was about to close. In fact David and his colleague were at the door locking up when we approached them. David was incredibly kind, he opened up just for us and served us the best pancakes we've ever had in London. They were fluffy, piping hot and had the most delicious blueberries inside!! The coffees were beautifully made and the customer service was just exceptional! Can't wait to go back!

I absolutely love this place! Their food was incredible!!! I highly recommend getting lunch there as well as getting one of their delicious sweet treats. But the cherry on top was David and his team! They are incredibly lovely and sweet and we had some great conversations. I'll definitely be going back.

We’ve been coming to Outsider Tart for the best part of a decade, and have followed them from the Chiswick site. The food is always top notch, and the staff are friendly, personable and good for a laugh. If you get the opportunity to have David’s famous pancakes, do it, as they’re superb. Especially if he’s feeling fancy, and adds whatever toppings he wants!

I love the brownies and the cakes this team create - pure decadence. :) Today I brought my mum here for a savoury brunch. It was top class and the service was amazing. The corn bread is the best i have had outside of Nashville. I can’t recommend this please enough. We obviously finished off with a cake.
